We Focus on the "Whole Child"
At Ms. Lo’s Learning Center, we follow a “whole child” philosophy where we partner with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language and Physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for kindergarten!
Developmentally Appropriate.
Our curriculum features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities and our classroom features different centers that provide manipulatives, puzzles, music and movement, books, dramatic play, blocks, physical materials for movement and sensory materials.
We Love Questions.
Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
We have found that one of the best ways we can teach is to ask THEM questions. “What are you creating?” “How does it work?” “Tell me about what you drew.” etc. Children love to be heard, it helps them to feel a sense of belonging.
We Partner With You.
We assess the students three times a year to discover what areas they’re excelling in and what areas still need more work.
We keep you in the loop on what we’re working on, and we offer parent-teacher conferences for our last two assessments if you’d like to sit down and further discuss your child’s progress or if you have any questions.
Process... Not Product.
Art time is one of our favorite parts of the day! It’s when we can get messy and explore a wide variety of art materials. We will have child-led art activities where we focus on the process, not the end product and let them use their creativity to make what they want from materials provided for the day. Children learn SO MUCH MORE when they have the chance to explore and play without rules of what art “should” look like at the end.
We will also have teacher-directed art projects based on our theme of the week. We will give the children the materials, show them an example, and sit with them as they make their best creation. This helps them to learn structure, guidance, and develop skills to learn the basics of art. It’s always amazing to see each child’s version and how their personality’s shine through their work.
Fun Themes & Centers.
Every few weeks, we dive deep into a new, exciting theme based on our weather, holidays, or whatever the children are yearning to learn more about.
We change out our centers and materials to reflect the new theme. Our classroom is always changing, and you never know what exciting things we’ll add next week!

When you’re at Ms. Lo’s Learning Center, you’re family! We’re located in Cathedral City, very close to Sunny Sands Elementary School. You’ll love our warm, nurturing in-home preschool, and your child will love our 1-on-1 attention with our small class sizes of just 8 students!
We are strictly a preschool (not a daycare) for children ages 3-5 (and independent almost 3-year-olds). We offer MORE THAN just preschool… Not only do we help your child socialize and get ready for kindergarten, we also offer a family-like relationship in a warm, home environment that is comfortable and familiar to your child.

Step #3 Take a Tour
We are the only in-home preschool offering part-time care in the valley so we expect to fill up quickly. Please call as soon as you even think about enrolling so we can see if we have a spot for you.
If we do have a spot, we’ll schedule a tour. We’ll also reserve your child’s spot so you don’t lose it before we meet.
During the tour, we’ll tell you all about us. At the end, we’ll ask: “Would you like your child to come to Ms. Lo’s Learning Center?” If so, that’s when we’ll have you fill out the registration form and we’ll collect the $175 / registration fee and welcome you to our preschool family!
